Editorial policy
Labels mean something
- Official: published by Rockstar Games, PlayStation or Xbox.
- Report: an outlet reports it, citing sources or insiders, without official confirmation.
- Rumour: unconfirmed claims, leaks or "allegedly" stories.
Labels are applied automatically from the source and wording, and an editor can correct them at any time.
What we don't cover
No leaked builds or stolen material, no glitch or exploit guides that break Rockstar's terms, and no content aimed at minors: GTA VI is rated for adults. Stories about leaks go to a moderation queue, and a person decides whether they appear at all.
News articles and AI
News articles marked HeistNotes News Desk are written automatically with AI (Anthropic's Claude), from official announcements and the reporting of the outlets listed under each article. Before an article publishes, it has to pass automatic checks:
- the model has to judge that there is a real news story;
- the article is written in our own words, and drafts that reuse a source's sentences are rejected;
- every claim is attributed, and reports and rumours are labelled as unconfirmed;
- nothing about leaked material is written up.
We never republish another outlet's article. An article's picture is the lead image of the source we cover, credited to that outlet under the image; when there isn't a usable one we use official Rockstar Games artwork. If you own an image we've used and want it removed, email hello@heistnotes.com and we'll take it down within 24 hours. Each article says it was written by our automated desk, lists its sources, and can be corrected or taken down from our admin at any time.
Guides
Every guide is written by a person and cites its sources, official ones first. Each guide carries a "last verified" date. AI tools may help with outlines and fact-check checklists, but they don't write the guides.
Corrections
If we get something wrong we fix it, note the change and the date on the page, and log it here.
